Who
we are

The Culturing Dish is a growing network for people working with fungi across the UK and Ireland. We are creating a living directory that maps the community of researchers, cultivators, educators and artists so it is easier to see who is out there and to connect.

Our focus is access and collaboration. We help early career mycofolk find their way into professional work with clear pathways, funding leads, mentoring and skill building resources.

As we move toward CIC status, our aim is simple: keep knowledge open, keep doors open, and help good work travel further. By linking research, cultivation, ecology, design and public engagement, we make it easier for new projects, partnerships and ideas to begin.

our sporeprint

  • Collaboration

We grow projects across science, craft and story - encouraging collective learning, creativity and joyful rigour.

  • Open Knowledge

Mycology should be open - not gated by paywalls or patents. Skills are shared so the field can grow widely together.

  • Flora Fauna Funga

We champion fungi alongside plants and animals in conservation, heritage and education, ensuring funga has equal footing.
